News just in: 24/03/2012 21:47

Reported by the GVA:

If you are not already aware one of our aircrafts (G-AAZZ) has crashed and has not yet been located! The Aircraft was a B752 travelling from KORD (chicago) to KLAS (Las Vegas) late saturday night.

Last transmission was to KGCN tower (GRAND CANYON) on 24/03/2012 21:40 GMT requesting a emergancy landing but did not complete the request and was last seen 30 nm out of towers airspace on a heading of 360 degrees.

The Pilot will remain un-named for family reasons and the press conferance is still to be confirmed.

BRIEFING

It is our reposibility to locate this aircraft/crew and report back to the CFSA with the findings.

We have transfered 20 Cessna c172's and 5 Ranger Helicopters to EGCN which will arrive there by 24th March and are to accomodate our rescue Teams.

Rescue mission takes place Sunday 25th March 2012 18:00 GMT.

We will be departing EGCN on a heading of 360 following the valley and river. There will be 1 rescue team which will fly in formation however 4 Pilots at a time will be asked to swing to the (Right/left) for a area scan.

Debrief Teamspeak: 25/03/2102 18:00 GMT

All Pilots that attend will receive $1000 FSA Bonus's

I have now completed 10 full flights in Vatsim with my PMDG 737 NGX and have finally got the bottle to do some GoAir flights...

My questions are these....

1. Am I using the right server IP on vatsim, I'm using 109.169.48.148 at the moment.

2. I have downloaded and installed the GoAir livery for pmdg 737 ngx and installed it.... Is this visable to others in (a) Vatsim and (b) Birmingham INTL gamespy? Some suggestions:
ESKN Stockholm Skavsta.
Might be a little close to Arlanda, but it's the 4th biggest airport in Sweden and Ryanair and Wizzair has their base there.
ESMS Malmö Airport
Airport in the south, quite close to copenhagen (DK)
ESGG Gothenburg Airport
2nd biggest airport in Sweden, it's on the westcoast and it's a really popular one. (I recommend this one)
ESPA Luleå Airport
Up in the north, quite small airport.
